Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, Financials) will hold its annual shareholder meeting Saturday, May 3, with investors watching closely for any comments from CEO Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) on former President Donald Trump’s new tariffs.

The central Q&A session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET, with a break at 11:30 a.m. The event, held in Omaha, is expected to draw around 40,000 attendees.

Buffett, 94, has not yet commented publicly on Trump’s recent tariff decisions, but previously said on CBS that tariffs are a tax on goods the tooth fairy doesn’t pay ’em. His potential remarks carry weight amid growing economic uncertainty.

The meeting will be the first without Charlie Munger, Buffett’s long-time partner, who passed away in 2023. CNBC anchor Becky Quick will moderate the Q&A session, alternating between questions submitted online and those asked in person.

Investors are looking for Buffett’s insight on how tariffs may affect the U.S. economy, global trade, and Berkshire’s portfolio companies. His commentary could provide a rare read on macroeconomic policy from one of the world’s most followed investors.

Viewers can stream the meeting for free on CNBC’s website starting at 8:30 a.m. ET, with broader implications expected for markets, tariffs, and Berkshire’s investment strategy.
